The Green Street Green project involves a contemporary external works scheme at a Baptist Church in Oprington. Designscape were appointed in 2014 to complete an extension project for the church, and were again appointed in 2017 to carry out the design, planning, production information (working drawings) and building regulations for the project, which started on site late 2019.

 

This project features a very contemporary curved ramp, which wraps around the front of the site, with a central staircase that cuts through the ramp. The steps continue along the contours of the land, and vanish into the slope. This will also provide seating opportunities to visitors or bystanders. A level threshold terrace will provide an area for congregation or wedding photos, providing an initial entrance before entering the church.
