Kingsley Hughes is a director of Designscape Consultancy Ltd. He has over 30 years of experience, working on some of the leading development projects and planning studies over this time. He was the Managing Director of Designscape International Limited (Hong Kong) from 1993 to 2008. During this time he worked with some of the world’s leading architects, including Arquitectonica, Kohn Pederson Fox, Terry Farrell Partners, and Skidmore Owings and Merrill. Kingsley also was Design Architect at one of the south-east’s leading architectural practices, working on large scale residential and mixed-use schemes.
Kingsley designed the London Evening Standard Housing of the Year 2007, the Daily Mail Housing of the Year 2007, and the London Evening Standard Apartments of the Year 2005. More recently, our scheme at Rothley Close in Tenterden was Highly Commended in the 2008 Ashford Excellence Awards. Kingsley also has been the Project Manager and the lead Urban Design Consultant for two Urban Design-led Planning Studies. He also has been the Expert Witness in Design at three Public Inquiries, and is the Urban Design Advisor to the Royal Borough of Greenwich, a position he has held since 2004.
